As a keen advocate for sustainable fashion and for supporting those most marginalised in society, I was really excited and inspired when I found out about Give Your Best on instagram through the wonderful campaigner, Gina Martin. I’m looking forward to helping out the team wherever need be and can’t wait to see this project grow!

Working in the tech industry, with lots of process and formalities, I wanted to be able to use those skills for a cause that more directly supports women - in walked GYB! How wonderful to be able to work alongside incredible women in order to empower other women.

I am so proud to be part of the GYB team. Alongside, GYB, I run a social enterprise called Our World Collective to raise donations for asylum seekers currently in refugee camps, so I feel so lucky to be able to link the both GYB and OWC. I am passionate about the rights of asylum seekers across the world and am determined to use my voice to offer support and educate others.  

GYB is such an amazing, and inspiring idea - and it has created such a wonderful community of women. I’m a grad law student from Glasgow, and I’m honoured to be volunteering alongside GYB and helping that community grow even further!

I work in international development with a focus on gender, and am interested in sustainability, particularly sustainable fashion. It's great working on such an inspiring project which not only has a direct impact of empowering refugee women, but also reduces our carbon footprint at the same time.

As a volunteer for another refugee charity, I was so inspired when I came across Give Your Best and their mission that I knew I wanted to get involved. I am a mother ,an accountant and also a refugee and i love the fact that Give Your Best gives me oppurtunity to use my small knowlegde of been a refugee to share my experience with other women like meand also to learn more from the team.

Hi, My name is Basma Kamel, Egyptian refugee, I moved to the UK almost 2 years now.I love working with NGOs and for me GYB is not just a normal one. I've seen the love among the team and how they support each other to see a positive impact on the community. I really apperciate being a volunteer with such an SE. 

Recetly came to UK , Lives with my three years old son. Enroll for ESOl and Child care course. I used to work as a banker in Retail before. I am certified Interpreter , as i speak English, Urdu & Punjabi. GYB happend to one platform which is very close to my heart . I was one of the First Shopper with GYB.

I began my career in a full digital marketing agency and have always had a passion since then to encourage change and growth through the power of digital across all marketing methods. With experience across housing, financial and tech industry I have worked with many clients to improve brand awareness through analytics, data and media. I am really proud to now use my skills to get involved with GYB in their values and goals to join the journey to empower women!

 I’m a postgrad at Oxford studying french and Italian by day, and a social media mogul by night for Give Your Best and a feminist podcast. Basically, I spend too much time on my phone. I love plants, coffee and charity shops! Give your best brings together everything I love: sustainable fashion and social justice. I'm so proud to be involved. 

Hi there! I am currently a freelance sustainability researcher, and basically just love learning about all things sustainability and the world we live in. I can't wait to find out how Give Your Best is already creating key sustainable solutions, and how it can into the future. It is amazing to work alongside awesome women to help other women and I am so excited for this opportunity!

Hi! I’m a Cyber Security Policy Advisor and recent MA Human Rights graduate. I have an interest in international and domestic refugee rights and, increasingly, sustainability and the climate crisis, so I was excited when a friend sent me GYB’s call out for volunteers. What I love most about GYB, and what inspired me to sign up as a volunteer, is the mission to empower women by giving them choice and highlighting commonalities between all women across the world. I’m looking forward to working alongside all these other incredible women and using my research and writing skills to support GYB’s mission.

Working in the financial services industry has taught me a lot about running an organisation, making change happen and putting customers at the heart of every move. Having gotten involved in odd bits of charity work in the past, I've increasingly found myself thinking that I can do more. I came across Give Your Best via social media and suffice to say, I knew this was the moment. I'm passionate about empowering women, saving our planet and making change happen at a community level - all of which Give Your Best most definitely encompasses.

I'm currently a Senior Partnerships Manager in the public sector, having worked in comms and events in both the public and private sector before this role. Outside my roles I've been really active in the diversity and inclusion space, mostly with a focus on gender equality. I came across Give Your Best and loved the idea, so fingers crossed I can bring my passion for gender equality and partnerships to GYB!

Having worked and lived in six countries, from New York to Cape Town, I pride myself on being culturally sensitive, adaptable, and immersive, with a wide knowledge of other cultures and communities. I am a Higher Education lecturer with leadership and academic programme management experience in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. My work has enabled me to work on programmes that empower hard to reach communities, at risk youth and adults through life skills and social emotional learning. I was thrilled to be asked by Sol to develop a Mentoring Programme for GYB that will support women in their journey.  

I work in corporate sustainability, liaising closely with a number of charities to create mutually beneficial relationships. I am keen to use my skills to help build strong partnerships with companies, which will allow GYB to continue to bring all their wonderful ideas to life. It’s empowering to have the opportunity to work with such talented women, helping other women.
